Your privacy matters and your personal information preferences are important to us. The proper usage of your personal information requires a collaborative effort on behalf of Glacier Media Lists (GML) and GL Data Group, Inc. (“GLDG”) and you to ensure your current personal information preferences are realized. To that end, the development of the GML and GLDG privacy policy was guided by the Fair Information Practice Principles of Collection Limitation, Data Quality, Purpose Specification, Use Limitation, Security Safeguards, Openness, Individual Participation, Accountability, as well as the Association of National Advertisers’ best practices on privacy. This published privacy policy highlights the types of personal information collected and/or utilized by GML and GLDG, how such information may be shared and how you can communicate your privacy preferences regarding your personal information with us.

Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information, such as name, occupation, title, postal address, phone number, email address and other demographic attributes, directly from you when you voluntarily choose to share it with us or from data partners that provide publicly available data (such as county courthouse records), self-reported data (such as gift registrations, surveys, public announcements and changes of postal address) and/or modeled data derived from proprietary algorithms designed to predict or project consumer attributes. We do not collect or track personal information through visits to our website. We do not knowingly collect personal information for
or support client marketing initiatives targeted to anyone under the age of 18.

Personal Information Usage

You dictate the acceptable usages of your personal information either at the time the information is originally collected, such as via opt-in, opt-out or another type of consent form, or when you contact us or one of data partners to specify or change your personal information usage preferences. For personal information that is identified as permissible to use, we may collect, retain, analyze, license, rent, sell and/or share that information through marketing databases that are shared with our clients (including client service bureaus) for direct marketing initiatives (such as for email, postal or online targeting campaigns), business or consumer research applications (such as analytics or data evaluations) and client database development (such as business attribute enhancements, consumer attribute enhancements, consumer attribute verification or database hygiene). We may also disclose your personal information to comply with law enforcement and legal requirements. And, we may transfer your information should a change of ownership occur regarding GML, GLDG or the database(s) that contain your personal information.

Personal Information Retention

Your personal information may be retained in one or more of our databases for as long as is deemed appropriate for the database configuration and in client
databases according to our client usage agreements. Your personal information will be removed should your request it or when it no longer conforms to the database
configuration.

Personal Information Security

We strive to collect, process, retain, transmit and purge all personal information in a secure environment and through secure measures in order to safeguard your
privacy and the integrity of our databases. We utilize data encryption, login credentials, access restrictions, associate training and firewalls to maintain data
security and comply with federal and state privacy laws.

California Residents

California’s California Consumer Privacy Act, (“CCPA”) and California Privacy Rights
Act (“CPRA”)
provide California residents with specific rights regarding personal
information, including the:
  • Right to know: You can request GML or GLDG to disclose the personal information collected about you, the categories of sources for your personal information, the purposes for which GML or GLDG uses your information, the categories of third parties with whom GML or GLDG discloses your information, and the categories of information that GML or GLDG sells or discloses to third parties;
  • Right to delete: You can request GML or GLDG to delete personal information collected from or about you;
  • Right to opt-out of sale or sharing: You may request GML or GLDG to stop selling or sharing your personal information (“opt-out”);
  • Right to correct: You may request GML or GLDG to correct inaccuracies in your personal information if processed by GML or GLDG;
  • Right to limit: You can direct GML or GLDG to only use your personal information for limited purposes; and
  • Right to not be not be discriminated against for exercising your rights under the CCPA and CPRA.

Virginia Residents

Virginia’s Consumer Data Protection Act (“VCDPA”) specifies consumer rights for Virginia residents regarding personal information, including the:
  • Right to confirm whether GML or GLDG is processing your personal information;
  • Right to access your personal information if processed by GML or GLDG;
  • Right to correct inaccuracies in your personal information if processed by GML or GLDG;
  • Right to request GML or GLDG delete personal information provided by or obtained about you;
  • Right to request a copy of your personal information processed by GML orGLDG; and
  • Right to opt out of the processing of your personal information by GML or GLDG for the purposes of targeted advertising, the sale of your personal information or profiling.

We will process your request within a reasonable time. And, we will also contact the source or sources that provided your personal information to convey your preferences, but we are not responsible for removing your personal information from databases that do not belong to us.
